Overview
KYTHEP is a plumbing installations company with experience mainly in large projects and public contracts.
Although those projects carried high value, they put serious pressure on cash flow, since payments arrived with long delays. The business wanted to open a new revenue channel through emergency plumbing repairs and smaller jobs that get paid much faster.
The goal was to create a steady stream of phone enquiries from people who needed a plumber right away.
The Challenge
The emergency plumbing market is extremely competitive, especially in Google search, because users have an urgent need and usually call the first businesses they find.
At the start, the owner was quite hesitant to invest seriously in advertising. So we began with a very limited budget, which made it even harder to gather enough data and phone calls.
The challenge was to prove quickly that the channel could bring in real jobs, without wasting budget on generic or low-intent searches.
At the same time, the existing page wasn't fully optimized for immediate contact, which is critical in emergency services.
Our Approach
Our strategy was built on precision and user intent.
We didn't chase raw traffic. We focused on people urgently looking for a solution to a plumbing fault, repair or installation.
In parallel, we improved the page so it leads the visitor to the call faster. In services like these, speed, trust and ease of contact make all the difference.
Once the first data showed that calls were coming in at a reasonable cost, we gradually increased the budget. That gave the campaigns more room to perform, collect data and deliver a steadier flow of enquiries.
What We Did
- Built Google Ads campaigns aimed at phone calls from users with an urgent need.
- Focused on high-intent keywords around plumbing faults, repairs and installations.
- Improved the existing page with conversion-focused changes.
- Added more immediate call-to-action points, such as sticky buttons and clear contact prompts.
- Rewrote titles, descriptions and content to make the business's offering clearer.
- Analyzed cost per call and walked the client through how budget, competition and the ad auction affect it.
- Gradually increased ad spend once the first results showed positive momentum.
- Extended the collaboration with social media campaigns to recruit technicians and administrative staff once call volume grew significantly.
Results
The gradual budget increase and the page optimization led to a substantial rise in phone enquiries and new jobs.
Initially, with a very limited investment, cost per call sat at around €12–€15. After scaling the budget and improving the data, cost per call dropped to roughly €8 while total call volume grew significantly.
The final results:
- +488% increase in brand awareness
- +300% increase in traffic
- +224% increase in phone calls
- 5.9x estimated ROAS, based on calculations with the client
- A steady inflow of new jobs from emergency repairs and installations
- The need for extra staff due to increased demand
One of the most important outcomes: the campaigns didn't just bring in small repairs. They also delivered larger jobs and installations worth thousands of euros.

Key Takeaway
The KYTHEP case shows that even in a fiercely competitive local-service market, the right strategy can create meaningful growth.
Success didn't come from simply raising the budget. It came from targeting high-intent searches, optimizing the page for immediate contact, and making decisions step by step based on real data.
For the business, digital marketing didn't just work as a visibility channel. It became a cash flow tool, helping it move from projects with delayed payments to immediate jobs with faster collection.
