Project Overview
Yiannis Xydas is a professional commercial photographer with more than 20 years in the field and a studio in Moschato, 50 metres from the metro station. He shoots fashion, jewelry, food, hotels and products for brands and businesses.
A photographer is judged by his imagery before he says a word. The website had to work like a well-set shot: clean, subject in the centre, nothing redundant around it.
The Goal
Commercial photography's audience is not the end consumer but brands, restaurants, hotels and jewellers, each with different production needs.
The main goals were:
- each sector finding its own service with samples and methodology,
- the photographic work presented sparely, without visual noise,
- the studio positioned as a professional production space,
- client testimonials from three different sectors,
- the personalised quote request always one step away.
What We Built
We built a minimal portfolio website on a cream ground with black typography, where the photographs alone supply the colour. The six services reveal themselves on hover, like contact sheets on the photographer's table.
The website includes:
- a homepage with a six-service grid that reveals each image as the cursor passes,
- six service pages: fashion, jewelry, food, hotels, cosmetics and products, corporate video,
- measurable highlights per service (20+ years, 500+ menus and projects, macro equipment),
- a page for the Moschato studio with the equipment and the working philosophy,
- a biography page and testimonials from food, fashion and hospitality,
- a persistent call button and a personalised-quote CTA in every section.

Jewelry, fashion, food, hotels, cosmetics, video: each card in the grid reveals its photograph on hover and leads to its own page. A client from any sector sees themselves immediately.
